Homer Wesley Moats

HOMER W. MOATS  FISHERSVILLE, VA…  Homer Wesley Moats, 53, of Fishersville, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born November 6, 1964 in Staunton, a son of Homer Theodore Moats and Charlotte (Redman) Moats. In addition to his father and mother, family members include four sons, Rakeem Moats of Staunton, Wesley Veney, Kendrick Thompson and Lee Moats; a daughter, Takeisha Brown-Morris; two brothers, Delmar Moats, Jr. and Jimmy Strother, both of Staunton; two sisters, Frances Christine Moore and Tina Harvey of Staunton; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Redman.  A funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Myrtle.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
