Helen (Shpak) Matis, 96, widow of Michael John Matis, of Staunton, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Brookdale.
She was born March 6, 1925, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Yaczissin) Shpak.
Prior to retirement, she was employed by the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Kopac.
Family members include a daughter, Doreen Matis; a son-in-law, John Kopac; and a granddaughter, Tara and Gary Sklodowski.
