Irene Marie Roadcap

IRENE S. ROADCAP MT. SIDNEY, VA Irene Marie (Smallwood) Roadcap, 88, widow of Vernon Edward Roadcap, of 82 Valley View Drive, died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at King's Daughters' Nursing and Rehab. She was born November 26, 1925, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Edna Christine (Hagerdon) Smallwood. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Brockway Plastics. She was a member of Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren. Family members include two sons, Eddie and Sharon of Mt. Sidney and Doug and Jo of Weyers Cave; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2014, in Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery by the Rev. Galen Combs. The family will receive friends an hour before the service in Barren Ridge Church of the Brethren. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
