Irvin Francis Mills

IRVIN MILLS STAUNTON, VA Irvin Francis Mills, 92, husband of Bertha H. (Paxton) Mills, of Staunton, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, in King's Daughters' Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born May 31, 1919, in Summerduck, a son of the late John Thomas and Ruby Mary (Curtis) Mills. Prior to retirement, Mr. Mills was a self-employed builder and contractor and inspector of Arlington County. He was a member of Remington Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, family members include a step-son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Margaret "Peggy" Paxton of Staunton; a brother and a sister-in-law, V. Dolan and Rachel Mills of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Anna Mae Dickson of Mosley and Barbara Mills Lee of Staunton; and a number of nieces and nephews, whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances A. (Olinger) Mills; and two brothers, Wilbur H. Mills and Clayton T. Mills. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Mt. Holly Cemetery, Remmington, VA by the Rev. David Blevin.
