Ida Mae Winegard, 69, wife of Beverly “Bev” Winegard, passed away on March 3, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Ida was born on September 16, 1952 in Augusta County to the late Charles and Ida Alice Edmond Balser. She worked as a ticket writer for Shenandoah Valley Livestock Sales in Harrisonburg. In addition to her husband of forty-five years, she is survived by her daughters, Ida Lynn Winegard, Mary Magers, and Loretta Lynn Winegard; her two sisters, Janet Marie Knott and Louisia Shiflett; nine grandchildren; and three great grand-children. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Luther and Henry Balser, and a sister, Charlotte McClain. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Wayne Pence. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens in Staunton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
