JACK E. BOTELER FISHERSVILLE, VA… Jack Ellison Boteler, 89, husband of Loretta M. Boteler, of Fishersville, died on June 4, 2016 at Augusta Health. Mr. Boteler was born on July 17, 1926 in New Orleans, LA, the son of the late Alva M. and Sarah M. (Virts) Boteler. Mr. Boteler served in the Navy during World War II on the USS Missouri (BB-63). He worked for the Federal Government for 35 years as a foreman under the direction of the Architect of the Capitol and retired in 1983. Mr. Boteler was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro and a member of the USS Missouri (BB-63) Association. In addition to his wife, family members include; one son, Jack Richard Boteler of Fredericksburg; one daughter, Barbara B. Johnson (John) of Chantilly; a stepson, Paul R. Erickson (Neuma) of Brazil; a stepdaughter, Susan M. Colletti (Andrew) of Springfield; his mother-in-law, Myrtle L. Peltier; eight grandchildren, Karen, Matthew, Kalynn, Johann, Arianna, Ethann, Charlotte and Samuel; six great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Robert L. Peltier. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with a service of celebration to follow at 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 500 South Wayne Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
