JACQUELINE L. HOULE STAUNTON, VA Jacqueline G. (Leclerc) Houle, 71, widow of Harold H. Houle, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at Envoy of Staunton. She was born March 6, 1940, in Manchester, NH, a daughter of the late Arthur Armand and Alice Irene (Damboise) Leclerc. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Houle was a loving wife and mother, raised four children, was active in Girl Scouts, The Mother Club, played Bridge, was a Philatelist, was employed by King's Daughters' Hospital, graduated from James Madison University at the age of 50 in 1990 with a BA in Business, became an Enrolled Agent and owner of Valley Tax Service. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Family members include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Marc Houle, Robert and Benedicte Houle, Bruce and Gloria Houle, a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah (Houle) and Dudley Barnette; a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur Armand, Jr., and Theresa (Croteau) Leclerc; a sister, Pauline Leclerc; and grandchildren, Zachary Houle, Sarah Barnette, Tyler Houle, Morgan Houle, Jacob Houle, and Alexander and Loic McWhinney. Many nieces and nephews who were all special to her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by Father Joseph Wamala. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends after the burial at The Inn at Old Virginia. Active pallbearers will be Zachary Houle, Tyler Houle, Jacob Houle, Alex McWhinney, Manuel Hutchens, Timothy Dupree, and Shawn Hassler. Honorary pallbearers will be Dudley Barnette and David Lebel. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home.
