JAMES R. COOKE, III STAUNTON, VA…James Ralph “Jay” Cooke, III, 53, formerly of Staunton, died in West Virginia. He was born November 12, 1962 in Ft. Gordon, GA. He is survived by his father, Dr. James Ralph Cooke, Jr of Staunton; his mother, Tommie Jane (Wolfe) Liller of Farnham, VA; two sons, Derek and Jason Cooke, both of Staunton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda and Wayne Gabbert of Richmond and Diane Cooke of Farnham; a niece and nephew, Emily and Christopher Gabbert; and the mother of his children, Elizabeth Cooke of Staunton. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016,                             in Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Karen H. Allamon of First Presbyterian Church, Staunton. Memorials may be made to the Valley Mission, 1513 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401.Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
