JAMES L. SANDY STAUNTON, VA James Lewis Sandy, 59, of 135 Spring Crest Lane, died Monday, July 21,2014, in Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born December 18, 1954, in Maryland, a step-son of Eula Catherine (Simmons) Armstrong and son of the late Erskine Louis Sandy. Family members include Timothy Lewis Sandy of Stuarts Draft, and three other sons; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Kathy Armstrong of Falling Waters, West Virginia and Rickie and Sherry Armstrong of Raleigh, North Carolina; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kay and Dale Thompson of Staunton and Mary and Philip Haley of Hedgesville, West Virginia; two granddaughters; two great grandchildren; and a special friend, Patty Ray Lipscomb of Buena Vista. There will be a service at a later date. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
