CULPEPER, VA… James Bernard Taylor, Sr., 82, of Louisa, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 8, 1933 in Staunton, a son of the late Harry Lee and Louise (Hahn) Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from October 1956 until October 1958. James worked as an electrician all his life up until retirement. He was a lifelong member of the Moose Lodge. He loved hunting, boating, camping and dancing. Family members include three sons, Steve D. Taylor and wife, Rosie, James B. Taylor, Jr. and wife, Brenda, and Charles A. Taylor; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren with two more on the way; and three god-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Melvin. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Russell Heinrich. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Augusta-Staunton VFW Post #2216. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
