STAUNTON, VA.             Jane Ann (Duncan) Burner, 74, of 164 Walnut Hill Road, passed away unexpectedly at home, Saturday, September 22, 2018.             She was born February 8, 1944, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Stanley V. and Mildred (Harless) Duncan.             Jane grew up in Newport, VA, where she graduated from Giles High School, Class of 1962. She then graduated from National Business College of Roanoke. Jane later moved to the Staunton area, where she worked at the Waynesboro branch of Carter Bank and Trust. She was beloved by her customers while working at the bank for almost 20 years.             She was a member of Level Green Christian Church in Newport.             She was an avid gardener, animal lover and was a beloved mother, sister, neighbor, and friend.             Family members include a son, Christopher Burner and fiancée, Naz Mansouri of Pasadena, California; a daughter, Caroline Burner of Brooklyn, New York; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Ruth Duncan of Newport; two nephews, Troy Duncan of New Castle, Mark Duncan of Catawba, a niece, Mary Margaret Sisson of Shawsville; and four grandcats, Gabby, CoCo, Ursula, and Duma.             A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018, in Ross Cemetery, Newport,VA.             The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in the Henry Funeral Home, 1030 West Beverly St. Staunton, VA 24401.             Memorials may be made to Cats Cradle, Downtown Center, 122 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
