Janet Delores Ellinger

JANET D. ELLINGER Miss Janet Delores Ellinger, age 69, of 909 Greenville Avenue died September 19, 2012, 2:47 pm at King's Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 23, 1943 in Staunton, daughter of the late Harry and Minnie (Harlow) Ellinger. For many years, Janet was a cook and waitress at Harry's Lunch and Peggy's Lunch. Family members include one brother, Harry Ellinger; two sisters-in-law, Joyce and Shirley "Dumpy" Ellinger; one aunt, Dorothy "Dot" Harlow; a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Garland "Nubby" Ellinger and one sister, Carolyn Marcum. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 22, at the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Harold "Pete" Campbell. Interment will follow in McElwee Chapel Cemetery, Bustleburg, Virginia. Active pallbearers will be Jeff King, Xavier Wilhelmy, Drew Sterrett, Jake Wade, Ralph Scarbrough, Jason Weeks, Jack Wade. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Friday, September 21 at Henry Funeral Home.
