Janet Monroe Weaver

Janet Monroe Weaver  Rocky Mount, VA… Janet Monroe Weaver, 63, of Rocky Mount, VA, widow of Roy Rogers Hodges, passed away on March 23, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born June 26, 1953 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Herbert Monroe Weaver and Lillian Jean (Jordan) Weaver. Janet was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and worked as a Comptroller for the former MW Window Company in Rocky Mount, Virginia.  She liked watching NASCAR races, and working in her garden.  She loved all animals and her home.  She is survived by a special friend, Richard Hodges; sister and brother in law, Carolyn Temple and husband John Charles Temple; nephew, Michael Temple; niece, Alison Moore and husband Zeke Moore; great niece, Hannah Moore; and a great nephew, Zachary Moore. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 in Thornrose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to your local S.P.C.A.
