Jean Elizabeth Thompson

JEAN H. THOMPSON HARRISONBURG, VA Jean Elizabeth (Hudlow) Thompson, 90, of 3935 Sunnyside Drive, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, in Sunnyside Presbyterian Retirement Community. She was born December 27, 1922, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Russell Wade and Beulah Virginia (Hevener) Hudlow. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Thompson was employed as a Deputy Commissioner of Revenue in Arlington County. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Park W. and Sandra Thompson of Staunton; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen T. and Aubrey Pendergrass of Florence, Oregon; five grandchildren, Shaun and Evan Thompson, Dana Thompson Smith, Ian and Darcy Pendergrass.; and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 am. Thursday, October 3, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Paul O'Gorek. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Thomas A. Glover, James W. Glover, Robert Glover, James Baldwin, Shaun Thompson, and Evan Thompson. Friends are welcome to visit with the family following the service at the family home.
