JERRY L. ELLIOTT VERONA, VA.. Jerry Lynn Elliott, 63, widower of Clara (Pultz) Elliott, of 37 Ardmore Street, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at his residence. He was born October 20, 1948, in Staunton a son of Maurice and Ruth (Koiner) Elliott. Mr. Elliott was employed by Swisher Trucking and Central Tire with 25 years of service. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Christopher Elliott; and a brother, John Elliott. Family members include a son Michael Elliott of Verona, and his fiancé, Melissa; a brother and sister-in-law, Maurice and Lena Elliott of Staunton; a sister-in-law, Anna Elliott; a granddaughter, Alexis Elliott; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Paul Leprovatte. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Ricky Lockridge, Randy Hawkins, Jay Elliott, John Brooks, Tommy Westhafer, Nick Coffey, Jerry Hite, and Nathan Austin. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
