Joan Gray Marshall

JOAN G. MARSHALL STAUNTON, VA Joan (Gray) Marshall, 79, widow of Howard Campbell Marshall, of 31 Woodlee Road, died Friday, April 24, 2015 in Brightview. She was born on August 15, 1935, in Union County, KY, a daughter of the late Fred Hughes Gray and Helen (Tate) Gray Ralston. Mrs. Marshall worked in Human Resources at General Electric until her retirement in 1981. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Dewey Marshall; sisters-in-law, Jean Hope Martin, Darlene Landes, and Joyce Marshall; Godchildren, Cynthia McMillan and Lesley Piner; and best friends forever, Raymond and Pat Hutchinson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a stepfather, Elwood Ralston and brothers, Paul, Bill and Jerry Gray. There will be no formal services. Burial will be private.
