John Chesley Fields, Sr

JOHN C. FIELDS, SR. STAUNTON, VA John Chesley Fields, Sr., 57, husband of Debra Fields, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 29, 2013. He was born November 25, 1955, in Lumberton, North Carolina, a son of Martha Townsend and the late Golden Fields. In addition to his wife and mother, family members include three daughters, Dianna Via, Rita Fields, and Lorrie Fields; a son, John Fields, Jr.; four sisters, Peggy Sheppard, Diane Bryant, Patsy Galford, and Patricia Fields; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Fields, Billy Fields, and Jimmy (Huck) Fields, Sr. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at House of Prayer, 115 Sunnyside Street, by Pastor Johnny Sheppard. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Sheppard, Billy Sheppard, Patrick Jackson, Dwon Johnson, Rex Crouse and Terry Crouse. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home.
