John William Stelling

John William Stelling, 64, husband of Elizabeth Stelling, of 84 Hite Lane, died Monday, December 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1951, in Manhattan, New York, a son of the late John Henry and Ruth Helen (Bartolosi) Stelling. John received his Bachelor of Arts from Wittenberg University where he was a proud member of Pi Kappa Alpha. Prior to retirement, John was self-employed in wholesale provisions.  He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro where he was a Youth Leader.  His truest passion was sharing his faith and love for Jesus Christ by serving in Virginia Synod Youth Events for over 60 events. John loved life and lived it without boundaries.  The memory of his ceaseless, welcoming energy and zeal for life will be forever remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife, family members include a son, John Jacob Stelling and girlfriend, Kiersten Cordes; a daughter, Kristina Marie Stelling and boyfriend, Ryan Krysiak; and a God sister, Katherine Adams-Love of Sarasota, FL. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 S. Wayne Avenue, Waynesboro, VA 22980, by the Rev. Paul H. Pingel. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials can be given to the Forwarding Faith campaign of the Virginia Synod, which seeks to endow youth ministry and faith formation to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people of all ages.  Forwarding Faith, Virginia Synod, P.O.
