JOHNNIE L. SMITH GAINSVILLE, VA… Johnnie Lee Smith, 56, of 15510 Lee Highway, died Thursday, December 29, 2016, in Novant Health Medical Center, Manassas. He was born January 24, 1960 in Leesburg, a son of the late Charles K. and Mary (Jones) Smith. He was employed by the City of Manassas for a number of years. He liked to travel, the Miami Dolphins, and flea markets. Family members include two brothers, Wilson Smith of Bealeton and Charles Smith of Gainsville; and three sisters, Shirley Benjamin of Charleston, West Virginia, Betty Miller of Verona, and Hazel Dodson of Churchville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Cook. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Pastor Lester Kennedy.  Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Chuck Smith, Michael Smith, Guy Cook, Bucky Cook, Charles Cook, and David Cook. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017 in the funeral home.
