JOSEPH W. HAGENLOCKER, III STUARTS DRAFT, VA.. Rev. Joseph Weaver Hagenlocker III, 64, husband of Oneida (Woods) Hagenlocker, of 61 Stone Drive, died Saturday, May 7, 2011, at his residence after a short battle with cancer. He was born October 24, 1946, in Bristol, PA, a son of the late Joseph W., Jr., and Harriett (Harrop) Hagenlocker. Rev. Hagenlocker retired from the U. S. Naval Reserve in 2001 as a Commander after serving 32 years. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant Beach High School, New Jersey, in June 1964, from College of Emporia, Emporia, Kansas with a Baccalaureate Degree in Elementary education in 1969, from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Public Safety in 1979. He attended Duke University, Course of Study Program from 2005-2010. He retired from Department of Corrections in June 2004, after serving 33 years. Rev. Hagenlocker began his ministry in the United Methodist Church, in July 2004, with an appointment to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Mt. Solon. He was co-chaplain for the Staunton District of the United Methodist Church, Virginia Conference; served on the Superintendents Committee for the Staunton District; served on the Board of Directors for Camp Overlook, Keezletown, and Shenandoah Chrysalis Ministry; and was Chaplain for the North River Ruritan Club. In addition to his wife, family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Tara L. Coffey and William Coffey, Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Diyana Hagenlocker of Stuarts Draft; step-children, Lisa S. Herring and husband, Kurt, of Bridgewater and Rusty Sprouse and wife, Michelle, of Staunton; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy H. and Vincent Longobardo of Morrisville, PA; a brother-in-law, Roger Pete Woods of Craigsville; two sisters-in-law, Geneva Thompson and husband, Glenn, of Goshen and Jeanette Hildebrand and husband, Bruce, of Craigsville; five grandchildren, Tyler Coffey, Kyle Coffey, Caitlin Coffey, Colby Coffey, and Garrett Hagenlocker; six step grandchildren, Tyler Sprouse, Haley Herring, Hannah Herring, Chase Herring, Noah Sprouse, and Holly Herring; special nieces and nephews, Jodie Bauer, John Longobardo and Joe Longobardo; and a life long friend, Master Chief Jim Brown of San Diego, CA. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Christ United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dr. D. Michael Houff, Rev. Edward Pruitt, and Rev. Janet Knott. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Rev. Bob Talbott, Rev. Don Gibson, Rev. Bill Bearden, Rev. Andre Crummett, Rev. Kevin Daggett, Rev. Charles Weist, and Rev. Mike Dettmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in the Henry Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Mt.
