Josephine F. Speck

Josephine Farrar Speck, 87, widow of Beatty L. Speck, of Greenville, passed on Friday, December 15, 2017 at her residence.      She was born January 13, 1930, in Goshen, a daughter of the late Robert Guy and Julia (Sively) Farrar.    Mrs. Speck went to Goshen Elementary and Goshen High School. After graduation, she was employed at the FBI in Washington until her marriage to Beatty L. Speck on September 9, 1950.  She was also employed in retail and banking until her retirement.    She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Farrar and a sister, Marie F. Venable.    Mrs. Speck is survived by her son, William “WB” Speck of Greenville and several nieces and nephews.    The family is respecting Josephine’s wishes and all services will be private.  Please help them honor her request during this difficult time with no visits, memorials or flowers.  The family wishes to thank Dr. H. Lynn Moore and his staff; her special caregivers, Rebecca Fisher and Linda Beverly; and Care Advantage and Legacy Hospice for the great care given to Josephine.
