Josephine Marie Wine

JOSEPHINE M. WINE STAUNTON, VA Josephine Marie (Mason) Wine, 94, widow of James Marion Wine, of 99 Berry Lane, died Thursday, January 3, 2013, in Augusta Health. She was born February 11, 1918, in Rochester, NY, a daughter of the late Francesco and Pasqualina (Versace) Musolino. She moved to Staunton in 1952 after marrying James Marion Wine, who predeceased her in 2010. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Wine was employed by W.J. Perry Corporation in Staunton and also worked at Rochester Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church since 1952. Mrs. Wine enjoyed farming for many years, her neighbors and friends, and attending Oak Grove Theater. She was lovingly referred to as "The Queen". Family members include numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends. A rosary service will be conducted at 4 p.m. in the Henry Funeral Home followed by visitation until 6 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2013. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Father Joseph Wamala. Burial will follow in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Theater, P.O. Box 3040, Staunton, VA 24402.
