Joyce Deanna Fauber

JOYCE D. FAUBER STAUNTON, VA Joyce Deanna Fauber, 71, of Staunton, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at her residence. She was born February 4, 1943, in Staunton, a daughter of the late James F. and Edna (Grant) Fauber. Joyce had a passion for working on old houses. With her vision and hard work she restored numerous properties, including many within Staunton's historic districts. In recent years she was assisted in her work by a special friend, "Little" Mary Lawhorne. Joyce also enjoyed antiquing, shopping, spending time at the beach, and growing flowers. She liked to cook and bake for her family and was a voracious reader. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Family members include two sons, Barth A. Berry and Christopher W. Berry, both of Staunton; a brother, William H. Fauber of Richmond; a sister, Patricia Callahan of Richmond; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Franklin Fauber, Jr. A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Wade Munford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
