JOYCE ANN HARTMAN WAGGY CRIMORA, VA Joyce Ann Hartman Waggy, 80, wife of the late Richard G. Waggy, Sr., of Crimora, Virginia, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Avanté in Waynesboro. She was born April 24, 1934 in Mint Spring, VA, daughter of the late Jesse William Hartman, Sr., and Ruby Brooks Hartman. Before retirement, she was employed as a registered nurse primarily at DeJarnette's in Staunton, the District Home in Waynesboro and later at Western State Hospital. A beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, she is survived by a daughter, Deborah K. Raines and husband Charlie; two sons, Richard G. Waggy, Jr., and wife Sophia and Jonathan E. Waggy and wife Samantha; four grandchildren, Jason Waggy, Captain Jennifer Costello, MD and husband James, Jessica Raines, and Matthew Raines; one great-grandchild James Richard Costello, V, and a brother, Jesse William "Buddy" Hartman, Jr. Her sister Charlotte Hartman Hasler preceded her in death. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev. Harold W. "Pete" Campbell. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
