Judith Virna Covington

JUDITH V. COVINGTON LE ROY, IL Judith Virna Covington, 35, of Le Roy, Illinois, died there June 3 of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born April 27, 1979 in Staunton, Virginia, Judy is survived by her parents Randolph and Mary Covington; her sister and niece, Claire Covington and Shyanne Hensley of Fishersville, Virginia; her brother, James Covington and his wife Michelle of Reston, Virginia; and a special friend Aaron Williams. She was predeceased by her grandparents James and Virginia Conway of Kilmarnock and Joel and Virna Covington. A graduate of Waynesboro High School, Judy received a BA magna cum laude from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, and an MFA from Bradley University. Judy served in the National Guard and at the time of her death was employed as an organizational support specialist at State Farm Insurance Company's corporate headquarters. Her life was defined by creativity and love. A painter, poet, and musician, Judy loved her family and friends and was devoted to her horses and pets. A service celebrating her life will be held Wednesday June 11 at 11 am at Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church, Fort Defiance, Virginia; interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu flowers the family suggests memorial donations to local humane animal shelters and horse rescue centers or to Augusta Stone Church.
