Julian Sidney Clark, Sr.

JULIAN S. CLARK, SR. STAUNTON, VA…Julian Sidney Clark, Sr., “Cornbread”, 84, husband of Dorothy E. Clark of 7 Miller Street, died Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center, Fishersville. He was born June 10, 1933 in Nelson County, a son of the late Sidney and Fannie (Clark) Clark. Prior to retirement, Mr. Clark was employed by Virginia Metal Crafters. He was a deacon of Smokey Row Baptist Church. In addition to his loving and devoted wife, three children, Joyce Clark, Patricia Jones (Edward), and Julian Clark, Jr.; five grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Lamond Clark (Gloria), Thomas Fitch, Robert Crawford, Frank Crawford, and two sisters, Dorothy Baylor and Shirley Vaughn (Joseph); and a host of other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by five brothers; and three sisters, A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, in Smokey Row Baptist Church by the Rev. Miles Siler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Julian Clark, Jr., Tito Johnson, Jonathan Spinner, De`Quiondre Clark, Nasir Harrison, and Edward Jones. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
