James R. Sensabaugh
James “Jimmy” Richard Sensabaugh, 86, husband of Brigitta (Protil) Sensabaugh, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2022, at home.
Mr. Sensabaugh was born in Staunton on August 8, 1935, to the late John David and Lucille Vest (Loftis) Sensabaugh.
Mr. Sensabaugh served in the Air Force and worked at Genicom as a Relay Technician. He also gave of his time, volunteering at the Blue Ridge Food Pantry, Verona Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, and Big Brothers and Sisters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael S. Sensabaugh and wife, Renee; two daughters, Suzanne M. Sensabaugh and Carrie F. Sensabaugh; a sister, JoAnn Ralston; and three grandchildren, Jeremiah, Melina, and Emma.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Henry Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by The Reverend Matthias Lusembo. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Augusta County SPCA, local food bank, or St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
