Jean Moran Cobb

JEAN M. COBB STAUNTON, VA Jean Moran Cobb, 79, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015, in Augusta Health, Fishersville after a brief heart and lung illness. She was born January 21, 1936, to the late Clyde and Georgia (Buchanan) Moran. Jean graduated from Craigsville High School. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Cobb was employed by the Tommie's Pajama factory with 31 years of service. After retirement, she worked at Kathy's Restaurant with eight years of service. Jean was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church and AARP. She was currently instrumental in organizing current class reunions for Craigsville High School graduating classes of 1953 - 1957. Family members include her former husband and friend, Tommy Cobb; their son, T. Eric Cobb; a brother, Meredith Moran; step-brother, Richard Corbin and his wife, Frances; a nephew, Kyter Roby and his wife, Gaytha; nieces, Lisa, Kim, and Lori; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an aunt and Grandma who raised her from the age of 3; also a sister, Libby M. Roby; a brother, Dewey Moran; two infant brothers, Robert and James; and a sister. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Augusta Memorial Park by the Rev. Harold W. "Pete" Campbell. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 in the Henry Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Craigsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
