Joseph Myer Kincaid

Joseph Myer “Catfish” Kincaid, 61, of Staunton died February 2, 2021, at his residence.

He was born July 8, 1959 in Staunton, a son of the late Glenn Brisen and Patricia Jean (Riley) Kincaid.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Kincaid was employed by Western State Hospital with 41 years of service.

He was an avid gardener, avid Goodwill shopper, and collector of many things. He was a loving, caring, and generous man who would help anyone in need. He especially loved his animals and his family.

Family members include his siblings, Doris Pruitt of Staunton, Phyllis Lowe of Swords Creek and Roger Kincaid (Isabelle) of Headwaters, Linda Long (Ronald) of Harrisonburg, Ronald Kincaid of Staunton, and Nancy Wiseman (Clifford Sprouse) of Middlebrook; his beloved dog, Molly; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Dalton Beverage and Maryanne Bennett; and many other special friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn William Kincaid and a brother-in-law, Tommy Lowe.

A private burial will be held at a later date.

Friends may stop by the funeral home on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, from 9 until 5 to sign the register book.
