Judy L. Price

Judy LaVonne (Fix) Price, 79, wife of Donald F. Price passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her home.

She was born on August 24, 1942 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Jerline (Carpenter) Fix and Nevin H. Fix, Sr.

She worked as a housekeeping manager at the Hampton Inn.

Mrs. Price enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed taking car rides, especially to the mountains, going to the park with her dog, and collecting baby dolls.

In addition to her husband of 60 years, surviving family members include four daughters, Terry Garland (Jeff) of Staunton, Tammy Patrick (Barry) of Nelson County, Cherri Hite (Luther) of Staunton, and Dionne Montgomery (Robert) of Stuarts Draft; two brothers, William “Brother” Fix (Sue) of Swoope and Phillip Fix (Rhonda) of Staunton; five grandsons, Christopher Price (Danielle) of Staunton, Charles Price (Amy) of Fairfield, Neal Truslow (Theresa) of Nelson County, Jeremy Truslow of Nelson County, and Michael Montgomery of Stuarts Draft; a granddaughter Emily Montgomery of Staunton; a step granddaughter, Vanessa Tadlock (Chase) of North Carolina; four great grandchildren, Serenity Truslow, Isabella Price, Dominic Truslow, Holly Price, and one on the way; two special neighbors, Bernie & Mary Ellen Earhart and Shirley and Wayne Powell; a special friend, Hannah Frazier; and her special dog, Bootsie.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Nevin Fix, Jr. and her mother-in-law, Margaret Pearl Varner.

A visitation for close friends and family will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Henry Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 A.M in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
