KAREN H. ROADCAP STAUNTON, VA Karen Lee (Hoover) Roadcap, 53, wife of Jerry Roadcap, of 4140 Spring Hill Road, died Monday, April 16, 2012, in Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg. She was born July 10, 1958, in Highland County, a daughter of the late Harvey, Jr., and Margaret (Barkley) Hoover. Mrs. Roadcap was employed by Shoney's Inn with 17 years of service. In addition to her husband, family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jessica Harner of Craigsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Virgil Hedrick of Churchville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mike and Dee Dee Hoover and Steve Hoover, all of Staunton; two sisters-in-law, Darlene McCray and Sandy Bailey; mother-in-law, Betty Roadcap; eight grandchildren, Jordan, Summer, Tyler, and Trenton Harner, Jackson Black, Treavor, Megan, and Colton Hedrick; nieces and nephews, Tonya Robertson, Mike, Chris, and Steven Hoover, Travis Wood, Kelli Puffenbarger, Kevin McCray, Tammy Simmons, and Johnathon McCray; and special friends, Dale Soprano and Louisa Shiplett. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Dennis Taylor. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Virgil Hedrick, Jr., Treavor Hedrick, Buddy Bosserman, Travis Wood, Cody Black, and Robert Black. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, in the funeral home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Virginia, Glen Allen-Richmond, 4335 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060 or to the American Cancer Society, 420 Neff Avenue, Suite 210, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
