Lanny Stephen Sutton

LANNY S. SUTTONSTAUNTON, VA…  Lanny Stephen Sutton, 68, of Staunton, died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 24, 1948 in Augusta County, a son of the late Samuel J. and Bonnie (Hevener) Sutton. Lanny was a professional sign maker for nearly 40 years. He was a member of First Church of God.  He enjoyed playing and listening to music and was an avid flat-track motorcycle racing fan. Family members include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Angela Sutton of Staunton and Stephen and Laura Sutton of Stuarts Draft; a daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Richie Morris of Ruckersville; a brother, Gary and Bobbie Sutton of Swoope; and six grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Scott Stedman and Sylvia McDorman.  Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
