LARRY C. BOWLES GREENVILLE, VA…             Larry Clayton Bowles, 67, husband of Linda Hays Bowles of 4316 Lee Jackson Highway, died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at his residence, surrounded by his family.             He was born June 29, 1950, in Charleston, West Virginia, a son Iris J. Whetzel of Mantoeo, North Carolina and of the late Mayford Clayton Bowles.             Mr. Bowles was a truck driver for 40 years. He absolutely loved his profession. He was a recipient of the one million mile safe driving award with a career of 3 million miles and all without a chargeable accident.             He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.             He was loved by many for his friendly, fun loving, and sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and loved spending time doing outdoor projects with his grandson. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to the campfire while spending time with his family and friends. He regularly attended Greenville Baptist Church. He loved being outside listening to old country music.             In addition to his loving wife of 47 years and his mother, family members include a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Casey Davis of Waynesboro; a son, Tommy Bowles of Fishersville; a grandson, Shane Davis of Waynesboro; three brothers, Richard Bowles of Manteo, North Carolina, Blaine Bowles of Charleston, West Virginia, and Jamie Bowles of Fulton, Ohio; a sister, Sandy Waldon of Charleston, West Virginia; and a step-sister, Mona Peters of Prince George.             In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Janet Bowles; his step-father, Ralph Whetzel; a grandson, Joshua Davis; his brother-in-law, Tim Waldon; and his step-brother, Pete Whetzel.             A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Ball. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.             Active pallbearers will be Bryan Lynch, Bernie Christian, Charlie Davis, Danny Davis, Mike Rexrode, and John Berry.             Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family attending the service.             The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, in the funeral home.             Memorials may be made to the Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad, 1601 North Augusta Street, Staunton, VA 24402.
