Larry Ernest Evans

LARRY E. EVANS CRAIGSVILLE, VA Larry Ernest Evans, 63, of Augusta Springs Road, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at his residence. He was born February 24, 1951, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, a son of the late Jacob and Joann (Kunze) Evans. Prior to retirement, Mr. Evans was employed as a maintenance mechanic with Neuman Aluminum and Wayn-Tex. He was also employed by H.K. Porter in Huntsville, OH. Larry was a true frontiersman who marked his own trail. He loved family first, his family and grandchildren were everything to him. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and raising animals. Family members include his life partner, Mary Cope Bartley. He was preceded in death by a former wife, Toni Cope Fuerst of Ohio. Also surviving are a former wife, Loretha Evans of West Virginia; three daughters, Melissa (Evans) McClintock of Tiffin, OH, Harmony Evans of Verona, and Jessica Evans of Craigsville; three step-children, Deseree and Brian Scott of Ohio and Johnathan Scott of Germany; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Theresa Grant of Ohio; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judy and Ted Maddox of Michigan, Joni and Larry Lattimer, Alida Jenkins, and Sue Chiles, all of Ohio; nine grandchildren, Alison, Kaitlin, Kylee, Kaylie, Taylor "Sister", Larry "Bubby", Cheyenne, Sean, and Gabriel; an aunt and uncle, Robert and Becky Kunze of Florida; a lifelong friends, Gene and Martha Fout of Ohio and Bob Crawford of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday, November 1, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. C.M. Pruitt. The family will receive friends from 10 until 12 noon prior to the service on Saturday. Larry loved flowers, and if friends would like, they are welcomed to send them.
