LILA C. ROBERTSON STAUNTON, VA Lila (Nanny Poo) Robertson, of 1561 New Hope Road, Staunton, beloved widow of Walter L. Robertson, Sr., was happily received into the welcoming arms of her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2015 surrounded by her cherished children and grandchildren. Her life was dedicated to her family. She was born April 4, 1933, in Nelson County, to the late Bland and Lucy Martin. She was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Kaleb Martin and Felicity Brown, five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include daughter, Phyllis Harris; son, Walter (Jimmy) Robertson, Jr.; grandchildren, Michele Meadows and her husband Matt, Adam Robertson and his wife Molly, and Christina Brown; great grandchildren, Michael Martin, Jacob Leach, Alex Brown, Scotti Robertson, and Jake Meadows; brother, Bland Martin, Jr. and his wife Brenda; sisters, Liz Lutton and her husband David, Shirley McGann and her husband Don, and Gay Spencer; and multiple nieces and nephews. Honoring her wishes, there will be no public viewing. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 at McElwee Chapel Cemetery in Brownsburg at 11 a.m. officiated by Revs. Russell Heinrich and Gayle Thornberry. Those desiring to attend are asked to meet at Henry Funeral Home, Staunton, at 9:30 a.m. for funeral procession and to wear purple. Active pallbearers will be Walter Robertson, Jr., Adam Robertson, Michael Martin, Nelson Baugh, Matthew Meadows, and David Whitesell. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends. A gathering of family and friends for celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. at Annex United Methodist Church, 1570 New Hope Road, Staunton.
