Lois Jean Meyerhoeffer

LOIS W. MEYERHOEFFER   STAUNTON, VA… Lois Jean (Weaver) Meyerhoeffer, 89, widow of William Meyerhoeffer, of Staunton, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born December 14, 1927 in Augusta County, the daughter of Clarence and Tressie (Kite) Weaver. After graduating from New Hope High School, she worked for the former Dupont plant for 40 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her son, Larry; and two brothers, Harry and Joseph Weaver. Survivors include two grandsons, Stoney and his wife, Linda of St. Louis, MO and Clancy of Staunton, VA and his two sons, Brady and Cameron; one sister, Mae Henderson of Indialantic, FL; and two brothers, Leon and Ronald Weaver of Waynesboro. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Third Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jacob R. Singleton officiating.  Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jamie Meyerhoeffer, Stoney Meyerhoeffer, Clancy Meyerhoeffer, Russell Long, Michael Monroe, and Gary Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to Third Presbyterian Church, 1313 Barterbrook Road, Staunton, VA 24401.  Henry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
