Loraine Isabell Colvin

Staunton, VA Loraine Isabell (Robertson) Colvin, 91, of Staunton, died Friday, March 15, 2013 at her daughter's residence. She was born on October 24, 1921 in Augusta County a daughter of Cora Robertson Cease. Family members include two sons, James D. Monroe of Fredericksburg and Donald Monroe and his wife, Naomi, of Waynesboro; a daughter, Merle E. Knight; five grandchildren, Ann Marie Young and husband, Bob, Kathy Jo Knight, Donald Monroe, Jr. and wife, Lilly, and Michelle Shank and husband, Tom; two step grandchildren, Mary Alice Seekford and Charlie Knight; nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; a half-brother, Roscoe Cease ; a sister-in-law, Betty Campbell; and special friend Nancy Depriest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charles E. Knight. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Page Bowman. Burial will follow in Thornrose cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Donald Monroe, Jr., Sammy Monroe, Andrew Young and Bob Young. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
