LORETTA H. LAIRD  WAYNESBORO, VA… Loretta Jean (Harbin) Laird, 76, of Waynesboro, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 in Waynesboro Manor. She was born June 22, 1940, in Rockingham County, a daughter of the late Robert H. and Edna Virginia (Fadeley) Harbin. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Augusta Hospital as a Patient Tech. She enjoyed spending time with her family and she loved Elvis and dancing. She was known for her “fun” sense of humor and she will be missed dearly by her second family at Waynesboro Manor. Family members include three children, Debbie Jean Cain of Lorton, Manuel L. Hutchens and wife, Tammy, of Churchville, and Gloria H. Houle and husband, Bruce, of Staunton; two brothers, Ervin Davis of Mt. Crawford and Carl Harbin of Mt. Clinton; a sister, Linda Tichenor and husband, Kenny, of Franklin, WV; and two special grandchildren, Morgan Houle and Jacob Houle. She was preceded in death by a brother, Garland Harbin; a sister, Elva Moyers; and an infant sister, Gloria Ann Harbin. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the funeral home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Arden Harner. Burial will be private. Active pallbearers will be Jacob Houle, Chris Harbin, Mike Landis, Tim Dupree, Josh Lathe, and Kenny Tichenor. The family will be receiving friends the day of the service at the home of Bruce and Gloria Houle, 250 Oak Spring Lane, Staunton starting at 3:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Waynesboro Manor Assisted Living, 809 Hopeman Parkway, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
