LUCRETIA L. KEISTER STAUNTON, VA Mrs. Lucretia "Lou" (Grant) Keister, 89, of Essex Drive, and widow of Luther Lee Keister, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the residence of her daughter. She was born on September 4, 1924, in Ivy, a daughter of William H. and Lena (Thompson) Grant. Mrs. Keister was a graduate of Stuarts Draft High School and the former Dunsmore Business College. She was employed by Staunton City Schools for thirty-three years as a secretary prior to retiring in 1989. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Her husband, to whom she married in September 1945, preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Lannette (Keister) and George T. Savage, Jr., of Staunton; four grandchildren, Tom, Timothy, Susan, and Emily; and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Steve Traylor and the Mr. Danny Pritchett. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Burial will be private. It is suggested that those desiring may make memorial donations to Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O.
