Lewis M. Vaughn, Sr.
Lewis McKinley Vaughn, Sr. transitioned to his Heavenly home on September 22, 2021.
Born July 17, 1925 in Augusta County, he was the sixth of eight children born to the late James and Eva Vaughn.
He attended Augusta County Training School and graduated from Booker T. Washington High.
He was a Navy Veteran, discharged after World War II in 1945.
Lewis was preceded in death by his wife Mildred and daughters, Wanda Yarborough and Adrian Vaughn.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Mildred Louise Lyles of Temple Hills, MD and Patricia L. Wilson-Jordan of Tallahassee, FL; his son Lewis Vaughn, Jr. (Wendy) of Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at Henry Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Community United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
