    December 21, 1929 - December 26, 2020

Lilly Virginia Price Shiflett, 91, formerly of Park Hill Road, Staunton, died Saturday, December 26, 2020. Mrs. Shiflett was born on December 21, 1929 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Gaines R. Price and Mary Sutherland Price. She was a 1947 graduate of Weyers Cave High School. Her husband of 63 years, Hylan R. Shiflett, died in 2012. Prior to retirement, she was employed over 30 years at Genesco. Lilly was a very active member of New Life Foursquare Church over 50 years, during which she held various offices and taught in different departments. She enjoyed singing, whether solo, duet, or choir. Family members include two sons, Ronald Lee Shiflett, Sr.of Staunton and Raymond Thomas Shiflett of Stuarts Draft; three daughters, Agnes S. Campbell of Staunton, Joan W. Shiflett of Stuarts Draft, and Ruth K. Puffenbarger of Mint Spring; four brothers, Walter, Ray, Lewis and Ernie Price; one sister, Janie Wood; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and George Price, and one sister, Corene Wagner. Friends may pay their respects from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Henry Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2020 by the Revs. Brandon Carter and Andrew Salcedo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Ralph Puffenbarger, John Eckard, Michael Berry, Rocky Lee Berry, Ryan Campbell, and R. J. Berry. Memorials may be made to New Life Foursquare Gospel Church, 97 William Cousins Road, Staunton, VA, 24401. As many of Lilly’s family and friends know, for the last few years her heart’s longing has been to go to her heavenly home and be with Jesus. Equally strong was her desire that all her family, friends, and acquaintances join her there.
