MADELINE R. GREGORY VERONA, VA…Madeline (Milstead) Reed Gregory, 79 widow of  Steven Gregory,  of 89 Riverside Avenue, died Thursday, August 4, 2016, in Spotsylvania, Virginia. She was born November 30, 1936, in Mt. Solon, a daughter of the late Rufus Miller and Anna Mary (Michael) Milstead. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Gregory was employed by American Safety Razor.In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Chestine Napier; her second husband, Cecil Lewis Reed; a brother, Stanley Milstead; and a sister, Jackie Rowe.Family members include three daughters and a brother-in-law, Ann and Wayne Burke of Augusta Springs, Athena Napier of Spotsylvania, and Norma Napier of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Odell Milstead of Mt. Solon; three sisters, Donnie Shifflett of Mint Spring, Bonnie Bussard of Crawford Manor, and Joyce Balser of Staunton; and special friends, Norma Tahsuda and Joe Camden. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016, in Craigsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2016, in the Henry Funeral Home.
