Madeline L. Ramsey

STAUNTON –             Katherine Madeline (Lanning) Ramsey, 84, widow of John Elvin “Whitey” Ramsey died on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.             She was born December 17, 1933 in Augusta County, daughter of the late Rudolph and Sadie Bell (Coffey) Lanning.             She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.             Madeline was an avid reader who enjoyed yard sales and planting flowers.             She retired from Marston and Michael after many years as a secretary.             She is survived by her son, Philip A. Ramsey of Fishersville.             A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (November 10, 2018) in Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Clayton W. Payne.             Arrangements are entrusted to Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
