Margann "Margie" Wright

MARGANN S. WRIGHT VERONA, VA Margann "Margie" (Swisher) Wright, 74, wife of Forester Wright of Verona, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her residence. She was born November 29, 1940, in Charlottesville, a daughter of the late Isaac E. and Alice (Cash) Swisher. Margie was owner/operator of the Stock Exchange Deli for 17 years. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church, the React Club in Staunton, and Staunton Elks #351. She was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts in Churchville and was a league bowler for ASR. Margie was a loving and dedicated mother to her family and all their friends. She opened her heart, kitchen and home to all. In addition to her husband, family members include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Forester and Susan Wright of Churchville, Jeff and Susan Wright of Verona, and William Wright; a daughter, Tammy Knott and her companion, Dennis Vaughn, of Verona; nine grandchildren, Dustin Wright, Colbie Hildebrand and husband, Nick, Jacob Wright, Christopher Knott and wife, Lucy, Jessica Wright, Hunter Wright, Alex Wright, Hollis Wright, and Liam Wright; four great grandchildren, Bryce and Brynan Hildebrand, Ariya Wright, and Gatlin Knott; and also special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Hollis Dodge. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 in the Henry Funeral Home.
