Marie V. Blackwell

MARIE G. BLACKWELL STAUNTON, VA Marie V. (Grant) Blackwell, widow of James Leonard Blackwell, of Staunton, Virginia, died Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. She was born in Montebello, VA, a daughter of the late John C. and Annette (Fauber) Grant. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, James A. and Patricia Blackwell; four grandchildren, Carl "Chip" Dunaway, III and his wife, Gina, Kelly Dunaway Luque and her husband, Victor, Leslie Dunaway, and Kimberly Fishel and her husband, Robbie; seven great grandchildren, David, Chris, Michelle, and Joey Dunaway, Dominique and Nicole Luque, and Kathryn Turner; four great-great grandchildren, Conner, Corinne, Ayden, and Aaron; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Dunaway; six brothers and three sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013, in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Steve Traylor. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home.
