MARJORIE M. HUMPHRIESGREENVILLE, VA…Marjorie Anne (Moneymaker) Humphries, 74, wife of Richard H. Humphries, of 4214 Lee Jackson Highway, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, in Waynesboro Manor. She was born July 28, 1941, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Harry Wilson and Frances Evelyn (Bradley) Moneymaker. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Humphries was employed by GE, Augusta County, and Carla’s Hallmark Shop. She was a member of Vesuvius Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, family members include a son, Randy Humphries of Vesuvius; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jonathan Mann of Oak Ridge, North Carolina; five sisters, Phyllis Hays, Judy Strickler, Ruth Varner, Carolyn Brown, and Linda Harris; and five grandchildren, Trevor Humphries, Lauren, Lindsey, Spencer and Brayden Mann. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Don Cash. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 215, Fishersville, VA 22939 or to a charity of one’s choice.
