MARVIN E HUTCHENS STEELES TAVERN, VA…Marvin Edward Hutchens, 77, of 653 Almo Chapel Road, died Monday, August 13, 2018, at Augusta Health, Fishersville. He was born February 9, 1941, in Augusta County, a son of the late Brent E. and Mary Catherine (Hemp) Hutchens. He was a carpenter and a farmer. He was a member of Old Providence ARP Church. Family members include three sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia H. and Lynwood L. Dull, Ann H. and David McCray, and Betty H. and David Lotts; two nephews, L. Kenton Dull and Larry S. Dull and wife, Kim; five nieces, Marvella and Jeff Rea, Tina Staton, Teresa and C. L. Miller, Cheryl and Tony Cason and Crystal McMahon and Chris Lambert; lots of cousins; one uncle; and two aunts. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Old Providence ARP Church by the Rev. Patrick Malphrus, 1005 Spottswood Road, Spottswood, VA 24476. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.Active pallbearers will be L. Kenton Dull, Larry Dull, Martin Chittum, Ray Kimble, Hedley Coffey, Finley Lotts, and Mac Hemp. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service in the church. Memorials may be made to Old Providence ARP Church, 6014 Lee Jackson Highway, Raphine, VA 24472.
