MARY H. ANDERSON MINT SPRING, VA Mary Ann (Harmon) Anderson, 79, widow of Garland Anderson, of 74 Oak Ridge Lane, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at her son's residence. She was born June 7, 1933, in Greenville a daughter of the late Harry A., Sr., and Julia Gertrude (Jennings) Harmon. She was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School, Class of 1951. She was a member of Mint Spring United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred W. Harmon, Harry A. Harmon, Jr., and Wilson Harmon. Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Gloria Anderson of Waynesboro; a daughter, Beth Ann Anderson of Waynesboro; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and George Elstad of Stuarts Draft; three grandchildren, who called her "Nana", Cody Anderson and his fiancé, Britanny Lipscomb, Martha Hogan, and Elizabeth Hogan; two great grandchildren, Benjamin Hogan and Annie Lee Hogan; and a very special sister-in-law, Mary Loe Harmon. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Terry Clark. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ed Clymore, Mike Reed, Denton Jordan, Harold Morrison, John Barr, and Bob Corbin Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wilson Memorial High School Class of 1951 and the Men of the Mint Spring United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, in the Henry Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, 153 Sherwood Drive, Waynesboro.
