Mary Sue Chaplin

SUE B. CHAPLIN STAUNTON, VA Mary Sue Susie (Brooks) Chaplin, 54, widow of Gerald Keith Chaplin, of 149 Spring Crest Lane #113, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 10, 1956, in Augusta County, a daughter of Annie O. (Bradley) and step-father, John Johnson and daughter of the late Elwood C. Brooks. Family members include her companion, William Belz; a daughter, Wendy Chaplin and Joe Culpeper, a daughter, Ashley Belz and Anthony Culpeper; three grandchildren, Destiny Hollingsworth, Tyler Culpeper, and Emily Culpeper; and four sisters and brothers-in-law, Annabell and Leon Miller, Janet and William Smith, Dorothy and Gary Durham, and Lisa and William Noble. A private graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011. Active pallbearers will be Gary Durham, Pete Culpeper, Joe Culpeper, Eugene Brown, Gary Ruebush, and Frankie Loyd. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 in the Henry Funeral Home. A special thanks to the Hope Center and to Dr. Cirenza and his staff.
