Mary Margaret Clifton

MARY D. CLIFTON STAUNTON, VA Mary Margaret (Dunlap) Clifton, 76, widow of Donald Forest Clifton, of 1410 N. Augusta Street, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at King's Daughters' Community Health and Rehab Center. She was born December 4, 1936, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Frank Taylor and Margaret Elizabeth (Redifer) Dunlap. She graduated from Wilson Memorial High School and went to Mary Washington College and graduated from Dunsmore Business School. Mrs. Clifton was briefly employed by Westinghouse and then became a homemaker. She was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church and the Churchville Women's Club. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Tracy Scott Clifton. Family members include a daughter, Rhonda Kay Clifton of Staunton. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013, in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frank Wyche. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Hebron Presbyterian Church 423 Hebron Road, Staunton, VA 24401 or to a charity of one's choice.
